"Prosperity" Coral Necklace
Parable of force in facing difficult but fundamental scales, and of how to recognize the existence of a moment of "transposition", difficult but surmountable. This is the meaning of the eagle, which in a beautiful Indian folk legend, at some point finds itself having to make a difficult decision in order to continue living and flying.
The legend:
A popular Indian legend says that the eagle lives up to the age of 70.
But for this to happen, around the age of 40, it must make a difficult decision.
At this age his claws are long and flexible, and they can no longer grasp the prey he feeds on.
Its beak, elongated and pointed, curves. The wings, aged and weighed down
by very enlarged feathers, point against the chest. Flying is now difficult.
The eagle has only two alternatives: to let itself die or face a painful process of renewal,
over a full 150 days. If he decides for the second option, the eagle then flies to the top
of a mountain and retreats to an inaccessible nest, leaning against a rocky wall, a place
from which he can return with a plane and safe flight. Here the eagle begins to slam the beak
on the wall until it detaches, courageously facing the pain of this operation.
After a few weeks, a new beak grows again. With this, he rips out the old claws one by one,
regardless of the pain. When the new claws grow back, with these and with the beak,
he tears all the feathers out of his body, one by one.
When the new feathers are reborn the new eagle launches safely into the flight of renewal
and begins to live for another 30 years.
